In room 5 my reading group has a book about rock. We have learning to find words about the topic. This is my list of words about rock.

That Was Summer

We were learning to describe and we wrote about Summer.

Remember that time
when you got a burnt nose,
and then had to have a rest
and you got ice cream dropping all
over your t shirt?
Remember how when you felt better
you climbed a tree and you got higher than you've ever climbed before?
That was summer.

Remember that time
when you went out to dinner
and had fish and chips
and it was yummy?
Remember how we went  to the beach  and then we found a jellyfish? 
That was summer.

Remember that time when you felt
the sand in your feet
and it was so hot
and then you had to go
to  the water because it was that hot,
 but it was good?
Remember how you got the food 
and you had to wait  until your Mum and Dad and Nana
and  cousins were there?
That was summer.

In Room 5  we had to think  about  what we could do to be a better learner in school, and the whole of Room 5 had to think about that.
