School Camp

 In room 6 last week we went on a over night camp in Franz Josef.Here is some of the things we did.

Why Should Milson

Before Halloween we got to choose what we wanted to dresser teacher our as. She gave us a choice but she had to be able to find a costume. We had to convince our teacher by doing a piece of writing me and my friend did it and her is my writhing. 

Halloween

Boo argh what was that? Oh that is just my teacher wearing a scary costume

that me and my friend designed. This costume is a spider bear.

She has worn it to school because it is Halloween if you didn't realise.

She does look pretty cool tho. Have you ever seen your teacher in a costume that you and your

friend said that she should wear? I am going to tell you the reasons why

Miss Wilson should wear my costume. This costume is going to be easy to make

,it is trendy, and no one will know who you are.

Easy to make: I know what you are thinking. How is it going to be easy to make a wall?

You need to buy the dress or you may even have a black dress already, and then

a bear head but that should be easy enough to find or you could

make a bear head by using face paint. It will look cool either way.

What can you do to make it cheaper? You can use your cricut

to put spider webs on your dress.  

Trendy: It is one of a kind and no-one else will have this costume.

You can even say that you have made most of it yourself.Because you can

use your cricut machine it will be custom made.You will be the only one to

have that costume because you made it . 

Hidden identity: No-one will know who you are, this is great because

it keeps people guessing.It will be cool and me and Bella will only know who you are.

This is why you should pick our spider bear costume because, It will be cheap to make, 

it will look fantastic on you and no-one will know who you are.And It gets better

when you have just about all the things to make it.If you decide to are designs it will

make my day.You know that it took a long time to think about what to

give you and what would soot you.

 

Colour Fun Run

On pet day we had a colour fun run it was so fun. What we did was set up a course that the whole School did. We set up a course using hoolah hoops and tables and mats and then we started under a gazebo that had a sprinkler on so we were wet, Then we ran around the course and the teachers would spray up with coloured dye. It was a fun ending for pet day.

 In are school we had a pet day but the sad thing was we where not a loud to bring are animals because of we where in level 2 but we did a lot of fun thins anyway. We made poster about are pet and here is one of my writing .

Favourite animal

Meowwwwww! What are your favorite animals? Is it a dog? Is it a bird?

Or is it a cat. In my opinion a cat is my favourite type of animal.

tortoise shell cat is my favourite.  

Cats like food. Their favourite food is meat ,cat biscuits, and water.

They like to hunt they cach mice and birds. to eat a lot of food.Cats

also like to eat meat it can come in a meat parch.

There are many different breeds of cats. There are about 40 to 70

cat breeds. One of the kinds of cat is maine coon and ragdoll 

himalayan cat and himalayan ,burmilla cat but there are a lot more.

My tortoise shell cat is my favourite because I like the colour of her.

She comes to bed with me at night time, she sleeps with me and when

I am sad she is there with me.

In conclusion, cats are very interesting animals. There is lots to know about what they eat, the kinds of breeds and why my tortoise shell cat is my favourite. 

The very first day of lowdown was my 13th birthday. I was happy but I am sad I did not get to have my party. I was so sad I I am still a bit, but Mum and Dad said to me we will still have my party when lockdown is over. I still got my cake and presents, Mum and Dad and some that came in the mail so it was not all bad but it is still annoying. I got to have my pancakes on my birthday for breakfast. 

My 100 Word Sentence

During lowdown we have been doing 100 words for writing and we have been struggling with it because we can not have 101 or 99 it has to be 100 It is fun, we have a photo and we can make up a story but it, is also hard because we are only allowed 100 words. 

I was walking to get some bread so I can make toast  then all of a sudden bang crash what was that was a person doing graffiti I was so mad so I went over there and said to him why are you doing that it is not good then I had a look at his work and it was so cool so I said to him you do not need to be doing it on the bins but I will let you do it on the walls and he said ok I will we are now  best friends forever.

My Holiday

 These Holidays I have been at my friends house. I have been baking by myself and with my Aunty  that came to stay stay 3 nights and i went to see Peter Rabbit 2 with her and mum and Logan it was cool.My Nana grandad and uncle Daniel has also came to my house but not to stay a night. These holidays have been special for a lot of people like my family there is a now born baby and i love him a lot that is why my Nana and grandad and uncle Daniel came down to see the baby. hiss name is Harrison. The Holidays have gone so fast i need another week but i cannot wait to see all my friends and my teacher to but it has been a good Holiday and i hope everyone else did to.

Book character Day 2020

 Today is book character day at Awahono School. 

I came dressed as the Cat in the Hat. Dr. Seuss wrote the book.

Two others in my family came as Thing 1 and Thing 2.

How to Mack Butter

Right now at Awahono school we are doing science rotations in the middle block of school.For the first two weeks we have been spending our time in room 5 

The first time we where in room five we did the water cycle the second time around we did the stages of cream. Today I will be sharing with you on how to make the perfect butter only using cream! 

How to make Butter: 

1: First step is to pour your desired amount of cream in a jar with a lid on top. Then you have to shack it. 

2:Now you will get different stages to your cream. The first stage you will get is a whipped cream. Then it will separate which means it is nearly there, make sure you are stills shaking it. Lastly you will have the butter and buttermilk YAY! 

3:You can also add some salt or herbs.

For home learning we had to plan a dream holiday, I would go back to the Gold Coast, Australia because I had so much fun there.

Pollution

I have made this Google drawing for you because we are all making a mistake. We are killing the animals in the ocean and even making ourselves eat plastic. Please stop throwing rubbish away in places it shouldn't be.

reduce, reuse and recycle.

This term we are focusing on reduce, reuse and recycle. Here is a few short paragraphs on what each means.


Reduce means to limit or use less of something I think mum should reduce the amount of printing she does. That would reduce the amount of ink and paper she uses. 

Reuse means to use something again or more than once. I use my cup or drink bottle more than once. I reuse paper by or writing on both sides. 

Recycle means to process something so it can be used again. Mum washes her yoghurt jars so we can put our pens and pencils in them. I also used one for my time capsule.

Olympics.

Unfortunately due to the global pandemic the 2020 Tokyo Olympic has had to be postponed till 2021. Just because the real Olympics has to be cancelled, does not mean the Awahono Olympics has to be cancelled.

First step for our Olympic journey is to pick a county!

My Family Tree

One of my home learning tasks was to research my family tree. Mum helped me, here is my family tree.
this one goes back 5 generations, mum has a tree that can go back 7 or 8 generations to the 1600's.
